Recovia Reclaim · Hard-end debt recovery

When a reminder isn't enough.

Some accounts don't respond to a friendly link and a payment plan. Recovia Reclaim is our hard-end recovery service for late-stage, disputed and complex debt — skip tracing, dedicated outbound specialists and formal demand management, applied firmly and always within the rules.

Where Reclaim fits

The recovery ladder, one connected platform.

Most debt resolves early, and cheaply, through software and digital engagement. Reclaim is the firm final step for the accounts that don't — and because it shares the same ledger, nothing is lost in the handover.

  1. Step 1

    Recovia Engage

    Pre-charge-off · your brand

Your in-house team runs early collections on our software. Gentle reminders, self-service, payment plans.

  2. Step 2

    Recovia Resolve

    Early-stage · outsourced

You place accounts with us. Digital-first, empathetic recovery that settles the large majority without a call.

  3. Step 3

    Recovia Reclaim

    Late-stage · full agency

The hard cases escalate here: located, contacted by our senior team, and formally demanded where needed.

Capabilities

The full toolkit — used with judgement, not by default.

Every escalation is a decision the platform records. We reach for the firmest tool only when the softer ones are genuinely exhausted.

Skip tracing & location

Customers who've gone quiet are re-located through compliant data sources, credit bureau links and proprietary matching — so a moved address doesn't become a written-off debt.

Dedicated outbound team

Senior collectors assigned to your hardest accounts — high-frequency, structured outreach with full account context, making the calls that automated journeys can't.

Senior negotiators

Experienced collectors handle the calls that need a human: complex hardship, large balances, part-payment disputes — guided by system guardrails on every offer.

Formal demand management

Professionally drafted letters of demand and escalating written notices — structured, compliant and on record. Often the step that breaks a deadlock without further escalation.

Commercial & B2B recovery

Business-to-business debt is a different craft — larger balances, trading relationships, director guarantees. A dedicated commercial desk recovers it without torching the account.

Settlement & compromise

Structured settlement offers — discounted lump sums, extended plans or partial releases — negotiated directly with debtors when full recovery isn't realistic but some return is.

Firm, never unfair

The gloves come off. The guardrails never do.

Escalation is where the industry earns its bad reputation — the harassment, the threats, the cases that end up in the news. Reclaim is designed so that can't happen here.

Every hard-collections tool runs inside the same compliance engine as the rest of the platform. Contact caps, hardship holds and vulnerability detection don't switch off because an account got difficult — if anything, they matter more.

  • Hardship still stops everything

A hardship notice or vulnerability signal instantly pauses all collection activity — even mid-escalation — and routes the account to a specialist.

  • Formal escalation is a last resort, and a logged decision

We reach for the firmest tools only where softer avenues are genuinely exhausted. Every escalation decision is recorded with its rationale.

  • One standard, start to finish

The 4.8-star experience we're known for doesn't end at Reclaim. RG 96, the Privacy Act and our own tone rules apply to every outbound call, demand letter and negotiation.

When to escalate

Reclaim is for accounts that have earned it.

Not every overdue account belongs in hard-end recovery — escalation is deliberate and reserved for cases where digital recovery has genuinely run its course. These are the signals we look for.

  • Digital outreach exhausted with no engagement after multiple attempts
  • Customer went quiet after initial contact or has broken multiple payment plans
  • Disputed accounts where investigation confirms the debt is valid and owing
  • Larger or complex balances where the recovery investment is commercially sound
  • Commercial (B2B) debt where the trading relationship has already ended
  • Re-presented accounts with no resolution after a prior recovery attempt

Questions

The things clients ask about the hard end.

How is Reclaim different from Resolve?

Resolve is digital-first recovery for early-stage accounts — most resolve through the portal without a call. Reclaim is the hard-end service for what's left: accounts that have gone quiet, are disputed, involve larger or commercial balances, or need formal demand management. They share one platform, so escalating from Resolve to Reclaim loses no history.

What happens after a formal demand letter?

A demand letter is a deliberate escalation step — it puts the debt formally on record with a clear resolution deadline. Most accounts that reach this stage resolve here or move into structured settlement negotiation. It's always a logged decision, and hardship holds still apply throughout.

Can you recover commercial (business-to-business) debt?

Yes. Our commercial desk handles B2B debt separately from consumer collections — it sits outside consumer-credit regulation and calls for a different approach around trading relationships, director guarantees and larger balances. We recover it firmly while protecting any ongoing commercial relationship.

How do we know which accounts should go to Reclaim instead of Resolve?

The platform makes this visible. When an account has exhausted digital outreach, broken multiple payment plans, or been re-presented without resolution, the system flags it as a Reclaim candidate. You decide whether to escalate — the platform just makes the signal clear so the decision isn't guesswork.
